Microsoft pimps 10 upcoming Live Arcade titles, but nothing due today 0

It would seem that we’re not getting a Live Arcade release today, which is sad of course. Actually, it kind of sucks, to me Microsofts is neglecting their Live Arcade game commitment. There are so many indie developers out there with great ideas, so it shouldn’t be hard to make sure that there’s new quality content each week. Why not just let up some smaller games for 400 points or something?

Anyway, I think Microsoft sense that they need to provide value each Wednesday, so they’re trying to get out of this fix by listing ten upcoming Live Arcade games in a press release.

Uno developer likes the 50 MB XBLA cap 0

Castlevania breaks 50 MB limit 0

GameSpot reports that Castlevania: Symphony of the Night will break the Live Arcade limit size of 50 MB. This means that neither full version nor trial will fit on a memory unit.

“Castlevania: Symphony of the Night is one of the most popular games of all time, and you can [bet] that you’ll see similar high-quality games come to Xbox Live Arcade in the future,” Canessa said.

The 50 MB limit is partly there to ensure that the Live Arcade games will fit on the memory units offered by Microsoft. However, it’s more than likely that we’ll see games way bigger in the future, especially if PSone games are going to hit the Live Arcade. And they will, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night is one.
